We have brewed a new beer in a new way. We have not added any hops at all in the boil, only in the mash, in the whirlpool and in the fermenter. This does not mean that there are less hops, on the contrary, there is 13g / liter of beer. The malt in the beer is Pilsner malt giving a light color. Furthermore, it is fermented at a cooler temperature than our other ales, resulting in less yeast character and esters. Malts: Pilsner malt and carapils malt. Hops: Amarillo, Columbus, Citra and Simcoe.

Kellerbier

A classic Kellerbier is an unfiltered, bottom-fermented lager beer. Our version takes this idea and runs with it. Our version tries to be the best damn Kellerbier in the world. Using pilsner malt beside Perle and Mittelfruh hops from the Hallertau region of Germany and Czech Saaz, we produce a higher than usual ABV, golden-coloured lager with a strong malty, bready backbone. The big floral, herbal hop aroma is followed by refreshingly bold bitterness and elegantly rounded malt flavours. Many brewers believe that certain beers are at their best when drunk straight from maturation tank before filtration. We want to give everyone the chance to taste it this way and see if we are right. A pure culture Bavarian yeast strain gives the beer a slight haze in the glass and the very essence of freshness that make this beer stand out from the crowd. Ayinger Bairisch / Bavarian Pils

The Bavarian brewers have been masters in their trade for centuries and therefore also brew excellent pils beers. Indeed it was a Bavarian master brewer that brewed the first beer according to the pilsner method in the town of Pilsen! The glimmering, light-yellow Ayinger Bairisch Pils has the fragrance of aromatic hops from the “Hallertau” region of Bavaria (only these are used in the Ayinger beer specialties!). The beer is highly fermented and therefore smooth on the initial taste sensation, but also mild and sparkling in body. Our pils is accentuated by the floweriness of the hops aroma and has a more pronounced bitterness on swallowing, which quickly fades from the taste buds.

Staropramen Granat is a unique lager which proudly embodies our brewing traditions. This beer is made based on the original recipe from 1884. The special sprinkling process, mixing pale and specialty malts is what gives the beer its unique granat (ruby red) color.
