A bright India Pale Ale with low bitterness and great flavors of pineapple and stone fruit. Large amounts of hops such as Chinook, Mosaic, Ekuanot, Citra and Simcoe create a unique tropical taste and aroma in the beer. In addition to pilsner malt there is oat flakes, unmalted wheat and wheat malt. This creates a soft and juicy unfiltered beer. The background to this beer is the new kind of India Pale Ale, New England IPA, which emerged in the eastern US lately. A long time ago, 1638, Swedes emigrated to America and formed a Swedish colony – New Sweden, on the East Coast that lasted for a few decades, which has inspired us to the name of this beer. We have brewed a dark well hopped ale that we think respond well to the hearty and often rich Christmas foods. The combination of roasted flavors, dark chocolate and coffee meets cirtus flavors and aromas from the hops. This beer was awarded best draft beer in the category Ale up to 5.9% at the Stockholm Beer Festival in 2006 and bronze in 2008 and was named best Swedish bottled beer in 2008 and won the Swedish Ölfrämjandets Christmas beer testing in 2008, 2009 and 2010. 2009 it got the gold medal again at the Stockholm Beer Festival. Winter Ale was named the best Christmas beer at Örebro Beer & Whiskey festival 2009 . Malts: Pale ale malt, pale caramel malt, dark caramel malt, melanoidin malt and choclate malt. Hops: Centennial, Chinook och Cascade Food pairings Works particularly well with typical Swedish Christmas smorgasbord. Pickled herring, cured salmon and "Janssons Temptation" (potato, onion and pickled anchovies baked in cream). Meatballs, spareribs and sausages are also a staple at the Christmas table. Another great pairing would be port wine braised shoulder of lamb with garlic and herbs served with gnocchi.

Born out of a conversation at a beer festival in Rimini, Italy, the idea behind this beer is as simple as it is complex: We wanted to make a beer that tastes like a popsicle. A beer as refreshing as those ice-cold, fruity treats we loved as kids. We brewed this beer, trying to create something we’d never done before. And you know what? We succeeded! Fusing what has become our house lactobacillus culture with all that fruit and then letting it ferment in a for us whole new way. It was an experiment, to say the least. Now, Tropic Thunder is a modern classic. A joint beery effort together with nomadic brewer Brian Strumke of Stillwater Artisanal. And forever in our hearts. Fruity!

Staropramen Granat is a unique lager which proudly embodies our brewing traditions. This beer is made based on the original recipe from 1884. The special sprinkling process, mixing pale and specialty malts is what gives the beer its unique granat (ruby red) color.
