A characteristically Trappist ale with a warm amber colour and a cream-coloured head. The aroma is associated with clover and nuts, balanced by the sweet aromas of vanilla, raisins and banana. La Trappe Quadrupel is the heaviest of all the La Trappe Trappist ales and it is also the source for the name of this style. A full, heart-warming and intense taste. Malty with sweet tones of dates and caramel. The aftertaste is smooth and slightly bitter.

Ohhh! West Coast IPA What do we have here? A refreshing bitter bite yet with a fruity ”Ohhh, that’s good.” All that walking in a winter forest, full-bodied goodness sprinkled with extreme tropical fruitiness, Passionfruit, freshly crushed Gooseberries, and pine needles. Ahhh! The quote ”What I wanna do right here is go back….” prompted us to embark on a journey exploring our roots in all and everything that is neo-old-school American-style IPAs. We again wanted to find our bitter bite, malty body, and pine forest citrussy properties. We picked up some pieces of our history. Some pale ale malts, pilsner malts, crystal malts, adding Amarillo, Cascade, Chinook, and Columbus hops. And then, we rounded it off with just the right amount of bubbles. Pinball West Coast IPA was born. Then, it was time to go up. Electro was the continuance, and Echo was the furthering. Aims at perfecting and refining to better. Dreams to elevate. A little more here. A little less there. Tying the unbalanced balance of an actual West Coast IPA together. Now, we’re tweaking it even further. Switching back Simcoe for Amarillo and adding a fair amount of Kohatu. Giving you that ohhh-feeling from first to last sip.

Pauwel Kwak

Pauwel Kwak

  • Brouwerij Bosteels, Belgium

In Napoleon's time Pauwel Kwak was a brewer and the owner of the 'De Hoorn' inn in Dendermonde. Mail coaches stopped there every day. But at that time coachmen were not allowed to leave their coach and horses in order to have their thirst quenched along with their passengers. As a result, the inventive innkeeper had a special Kwak glass blown that could be hung on the coach. In this way the coachman had his Kwak beer safely at hand. LOOK: Kwak is recognisable by its deep bright amber colour and a dense, creamy coloured head. The pale wood of the glass holder makes a pleasant contrast with the beer. SMELL: You will smell a mellow, fruity and malty aroma with a slightly spicy character (coriander, hops). Additional earthy and very subtle aromas of banana and perhaps also a whiff of pineapple or mango in the background. TASTE: Discover a very mellow, fruity attack, a nougat-like solidity, and a slightly spicy character with hints of liquorice passing into a warm finish that reminds you of caramelised banana. The bitterness always remains in the background but in the end emerges delicately.

We have brewed a dark well hopped ale that we think respond well to the hearty and often rich Christmas foods. The combination of roasted flavors, dark chocolate and coffee meets cirtus flavors and aromas from the hops. This beer was awarded best draft beer in the category Ale up to 5.9% at the Stockholm Beer Festival in 2006 and bronze in 2008 and was named best Swedish bottled beer in 2008 and won the Swedish Ölfrämjandets Christmas beer testing in 2008, 2009 and 2010. 2009 it got the gold medal again at the Stockholm Beer Festival. Winter Ale was named the best Christmas beer at Örebro Beer & Whiskey festival 2009 . Malts: Pale ale malt, pale caramel malt, dark caramel malt, melanoidin malt and choclate malt. Hops: Centennial, Chinook och Cascade Food pairings Works particularly well with typical Swedish Christmas smorgasbord. Pickled herring, cured salmon and "Janssons Temptation" (potato, onion and pickled anchovies baked in cream). Meatballs, spareribs and sausages are also a staple at the Christmas table. Another great pairing would be port wine braised shoulder of lamb with garlic and herbs served with gnocchi.

The Chimay Blue Cap, baptized "Grande Reserve" in 750 ml bottles is a dark Trappist beer with a powerful aroma, the complex flavor of which improves across the years. It was first brewed as a Christmas beer by the monks of Scourmont Abbey in 1956. This authentic Belgian beer, whose tinge of fresh yeast is associated with a light rosy flowery touch, is particularly pleasant. Its aroma, perceived as one enjoys it, only accents the delightful sensations revealed by the odor, all revealing a light but agreeable caramelized note. It is ideally served at cellar temperature (10 to 12°C).

Staropramen Granat is a unique lager which proudly embodies our brewing traditions. This beer is made based on the original recipe from 1884. The special sprinkling process, mixing pale and specialty malts is what gives the beer its unique granat (ruby red) color.

This is our unique version of an ancient style. A style as old as the ocean trade routes of the last centuries of Great Ships. Not as old as the equator they had to cross twice enroute, nor as old as the 10,000 miles or so of Di-Hydrogen Oxide and Sodium upon which they sailed, but older than the Circulithium-4 Lentoid that binds the Lupulin Quartnate onto your taste buds. Weird. IPA has loads of “C” Hops balanced on a bed of fine English Crystal, Caramel & Munich Malts. Designed to pair well with food and pretty much everything else!
