  • Abbaye de Maredsous, Belgium

The light Maredsous Blonde was the abbey's very first beer. Nowadays, the monks still drink it daily at lunch. Maredsous Blonde is a delectable blonde ale with springy fruitiness, soft malting and a slightly dry, gentle-hopped finish. A sparkling nose, complex flavors and a touch of bitterness give this fine ale all of the refreshing qualities of a classic Belgian blonde.

The Chimay Blue Cap, baptized "Grande Reserve" in 750 ml bottles is a dark Trappist beer with a powerful aroma, the complex flavor of which improves across the years. It was first brewed as a Christmas beer by the monks of Scourmont Abbey in 1956. This authentic Belgian beer, whose tinge of fresh yeast is associated with a light rosy flowery touch, is particularly pleasant. Its aroma, perceived as one enjoys it, only accents the delightful sensations revealed by the odor, all revealing a light but agreeable caramelized note. It is ideally served at cellar temperature (10 to 12°C).

Rodenbach Grand Cru

Rodenbach Grand Cru

  • Sour - Flanders Red Ale

  • Brouwerij Rodenbach, Belgium

This is an aged Belgian red ale, which is ‘ripened quietly in oak barrels for two years’, according to the label. It has an extremely pungent aroma of rich grapey fruit, with acidic notes, very much like a slightly sour red wine or possibly a gueuze. In the mouth it is slightly sweet, extremely acidic and fruity, with grapes and even cherries discernible, and very lively. Despite the sweetness it is not at all cloying, even thin, with little or no trace of malt. Finish is sharp and fruity.

Kevin Schwartzbier Ein Schwartz Bitte Kevin’s take on a classic. A Mandarina Bavaria single hopped Schwartzbier. Oxymoronic in its classic modernity. Dualistic in its traditionalist future. Black! In June 2020, we got an offer we could not refuse. The proposal was to buy a bar. For years, we'd dreamt of our own place. And we were over the moon when we could finally do it. Our own bar, Pils, was born. Now, for Pils, we do one-off staff beers. Beers that each staff member takes turns designing, and then we brew. The turn has now come to our canning master, Kevin! Kevin wanted to blow some life into and put his own touch on a beer-style close to his heart, the often forgotten and sometimes feared Schwartzbier. An intricate style to navigate with its dark color and roasted notes. He opted for a less dry, chocolaty, freshly ground coffee and dried fruits variant. Single hopped with the citrusy yet traditional while still modern hop Mandarina Bavaria. All resulting in a thirst quencher for all seasons. Giving you just the right amount of oomph. Kevin!

This is our unique version of an ancient style. A style as old as the ocean trade routes of the last centuries of Great Ships. Not as old as the equator they had to cross twice enroute, nor as old as the 10,000 miles or so of Di-Hydrogen Oxide and Sodium upon which they sailed, but older than the Circulithium-4 Lentoid that binds the Lupulin Quartnate onto your taste buds. Weird. IPA has loads of “C” Hops balanced on a bed of fine English Crystal, Caramel & Munich Malts. Designed to pair well with food and pretty much everything else!
