This hazy and soft pale is all about Motueka. Bright yellow in colour, on the nose you’ve got sweet lime and vanilla, reminiscent of a zesty and biscuity key lime pie. A little Sabro in the whirlpool adds further tropical notes to the Citra and Motueka, and all combine to give fresh lime and green wine gum notes with luscious mango undertones. With only a subtle bitterness to balance the sweetness, it's a summer banger that’ll have you saying ‘yeah, yeah it's sick that, yeah that's good’.

Mango Mango Mango Sour Fruit Ale Tropic Trio A sour fruit ale with one, two, three layers of taste and aroma from fruit and hops. Mango! If you put fruit in a beer, there’s no better fruit to use than mango. At least that’s what Magnus here at Dugges Bryggeri says. And, he should know. He’s the originator of many of the fruit beers we’ve done. With that, we set out to do a mango solo! To make it a sour was a no-brainer. We have nothing but love for our sour beers, and we want to continue exploring those forever. As for the mango, we wanted to push as much fruitiness as possible into this beer. So, we used mango flavor from two types of mango fruit and from Mosaic™ hops. Giving it that multi-layered, multi-faceted, and multi-multi kind of vibe. Since that first brew, Mango Mango Mango has been around for a few years and is now one of our staples. We never tire of it. That mango freshness spread on a crisp sour is just right. Here’s to many more. Mango!

Soma Stout Aged In Sangiovese Barrels (2020)

Soma Stout Aged In Sangiovese Barrels (2020)

  • Wild Ale - American
  • 10.0%
  • Odd Breed Wild Ales, United States

We brewed this beer similarly to a Foreign Extra Stout, but we included a substantial amount of flaked oats alongside base malts of German Vienna and Munich to provide a smooth, fuller body. Various crystal malts and roasted malts from England provide flavors of baker’s chocolate and dark fruit without notes of bitter coffee. This version of Soma Stout spent twenty five months in barrels that previously held Sangiovese wine from Italy. Notes of mulberries, figs, and dates are supported by French oak tannins and a smooth body with restrained acidity.

We have brewed a dark well hopped ale that we think respond well to the hearty and often rich Christmas foods. The combination of roasted flavors, dark chocolate and coffee meets cirtus flavors and aromas from the hops. This beer was awarded best draft beer in the category Ale up to 5.9% at the Stockholm Beer Festival in 2006 and bronze in 2008 and was named best Swedish bottled beer in 2008 and won the Swedish Ölfrämjandets Christmas beer testing in 2008, 2009 and 2010. 2009 it got the gold medal again at the Stockholm Beer Festival. Winter Ale was named the best Christmas beer at Örebro Beer & Whiskey festival 2009 . Malts: Pale ale malt, pale caramel malt, dark caramel malt, melanoidin malt and choclate malt. Hops: Centennial, Chinook och Cascade Food pairings Works particularly well with typical Swedish Christmas smorgasbord. Pickled herring, cured salmon and "Janssons Temptation" (potato, onion and pickled anchovies baked in cream). Meatballs, spareribs and sausages are also a staple at the Christmas table. Another great pairing would be port wine braised shoulder of lamb with garlic and herbs served with gnocchi.

With the development of the production process, the master brewer has always consulted the reliable old recipes. The “Kirtabier” is the only type of beer that can be classified between “March” beer and dark export beer. It is brewed for one of the most important festival days in Bavaria, the “Kirchweih” church fest. The intensive double decoction mashing with the mixture of three malts gives the beer a warm, brown color and a well-balanced, full-bodied, solid aromatic malty quality. The salubrious character of Kirtabier is distinguished by a high degree of fermentation, a pleasant sparkle and a distinctly perceptible bitter quality. The Kirtabier comes “premium cloudy” to the bar, which means unfiltered with that full cellar taste.

Pilsner Urquell

  • Plzeňský Prazdroj, Czech Republic

In 1842, at our brewery in Plzeň, brewer Josef Groll introduced the world to the first golden ‘pilsner’ lager, and changed beer forever. His invention soon became the most popular style of beer on the planet. We’ve brewed Pilsner Urquell in the same brewery using the same recipe for over 175 years. Today, we still insist on using traditional methods, like triple decoction and parallel brewing in wooden lagering barrels. It takes longer but means we never compromise on our taste. Pilsner Urquell’s signature flavour balances sweetness from the triple-decocted malt, and bitterness from our Saaz hops. The thick head of dense wet foam adds smoothness and seals in flavour and aroma. In every sip of Pilsner Urquell you’ll notice a refreshing crispness from natural carbonation, then subtle caramel tones and a clean finish with a pleasing hoppy bitterness.
